Plastic Fittings
Plastic Compression Fittings are fittings which have a nut specially designed to compress the pipe/tube into the fitting without the need for ferrules or tape.
The Compression Nut is placed over the RO Tubing and turned onto the fitting until tight (as seen above) usually by hand is sufficient and no tools are required, using a pipe insert is optional.
We also refer to compression fittings as JACO fittings.
JACO 1/4" means it is used for 1/4" (6mm) tubing.
JACO 3/8" means it is used for 3/8" (9.5mm) tubing.
